Neutral Newborn Session | Roseville Newborn Photographer

This sweet girl was a month old at her newborn session. Usually newborn sessions are held in the first two weeks but that doesn't mean they can't be scheduled a little later.

The reason newborn sessions are done so soon after birth is because baby is still really sleeping and they're more easily posed and photographed. When babies are awake they rarely look at the camera and often spend time cross eyed. Of course if baby wakes up we can still get really pretty portraits as you can see below.

You should reserve your newborn session around the same time you schedule your maternity session. This way you know you're guaranteed a spot on my schedule. Once baby is here you give me a call and we get you scheduled for a date and time. I do find that newborns tend to do better in the mornings.
