Catt’s Maternity Session at Gibson Ranch

If you’ve spent any time on my blog, you’ll know that Gibson Ranch holds a special place in my heart. No matter the season, it offers the perfect mix of charm and beauty that makes every session magical. Catt’s maternity session was no exception. From the golden light filtering through the trees to the picturesque backdrops, everything came together to create a stunning gallery of memories.

Catt and her sweet family were such a joy to work with. Her radiant blue gown was the perfect choice for the ranch’s natural tones, and it complemented the warm, rustic vibe of the setting. We started our session along the tree-lined road—a classic Gibson Ranch spot that always delivers timeless, heartfelt images. Catt’s husband and little ones joined in for some playful family moments that perfectly captured their excitement and love as they prepare to welcome their newest member.

The session took us to some of my favorite corners of the ranch, from the white fences to the open fields. The kids were full of energy and curiosity, which brought so much life and personality to the photos. I always love capturing those in-between moments: little giggles, playful swings, and the quiet connection between parents and their children.

Catt’s second gown, a dreamy blush dress with intricate lace details, added a whole new level of elegance to the session. As the sun dipped lower in the sky, we transitioned to the lakeside area for some truly breathtaking portraits. The reflection of the sunset on the water, combined with the soft hues of her gown, created a scene straight out of a fairytale.

One of my favorite moments was watching Catt’s little ones interact with her during this part of the session. Their curiosity and love for their mama shone through in every shot. The ducks by the pond even made a special appearance, much to the kids' delight!

As the session wrapped up, the sky gifted us with a vibrant pink and orange sunset—the perfect ending to a truly magical evening. These moments are why I love photographing at Gibson Ranch so much. Each session feels unique yet familiar, and I’m always amazed at how it transforms to match the energy of every family I work with.

Catt’s maternity session was a beautiful reminder of why I do what I do: preserving these fleeting, heartfelt moments for families to look back on for years to come. I’m so grateful to have been a part of this special time in their lives, and I can’t wait to see their family grow.
